This we believe: As United Methodists, we believe in the following basic truths of the Christian faith: - With Christians of other communions we confess belief in a triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the mystery of salvation in and through Jesus Christ, which is the heart of the Gospel.
- We believe that God’s redemptive love is realized in us by the activity of the Holy Spirit.
- We believe ourselves to be part of the universal church when by adoration, proclamation and service we become conformed to the image of Christ.
- We believe that the reign of God is both a present and future reality.
- We believe that Scripture is the primary authority in matters of faith.
- We believe in the essential unity of the church in Jesus Christ and ecumenical cooperation.
- As Methodist Christians we place an emphasis on practical divinity, the implementation of genuine Christianity in the lives of believers. We believe in faith and love put into practice.
