OUR GENERAL PURPOSE and GOALS
The purpose of the United Methodist Women (UMW) is to know God, to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The Murrieta UMW meets quarterly on the fourth (4th) Sunday of the month at 12:15-2:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We invite all women in our church to come and join in the camaraderie and spiritual growth at our meetings.

Methodism founder John Wesley knew the key to social change would be small-group gatherings, and so does United Methodist Women (UMW). Subgroups or circles allow local church UMW members an opportunity to focus on special mission interests in smaller groups. They provide greater flexibility and freedom for participation, nurture and leadership
development. Some women find that their circle is their primary connection for prayer, study and spiritual growth.
Sonrisers Circle would like to invite you to meet with a loving group ofwomen once a month to spread God’s love by serving our church and our community. Want to find out more? Please come and join them. The Sonrisers is a fellowship and service group which supports the youth in our church along with others here in Murrieta. They sponsor a chili cook off in the fall and a spaghetti dinner in the spring to raise money for camperships for the youth in our church. We also support MUMC’s Colonia Project in Mexicali,
Mexico. Sonrisers meets the third (3rd) Saturday of each month at 8:oo AM. For more information contact Toni Spencer (619) 504-8950 or Carol
